Paul is building the case why EVERY human needs JESUS. Yes, the ‘pagans’… but also, the ‘moralist’, and today… the ‘religious’. We’ll see how this text applies to anyone who is leaning on their religious affiliation or practices – instead of ‘leaning on JESUS’.

We quickly see that ‘no one is privileged’, and we need to ‘practice what we preach’.

But the one way to be genuine – (to be REAL with GOD) – is to make our heart RIGHT with GOD. Because “apart from the LORD, we can do nothing”. Take a few minutes to listen and apply GOD’s Word in your heart, and answer these personal application questions:
1. Ask GOD: “Is there an area in my life where I have given myself a ‘false sense of security’?... or I’ve not been ‘practicing what I preach?’
Meditate daily on 2:17-24 and memorize at least one verse this week.

2. Based on 2:29, how would seeking praise only from GOD affect your actions at home or work? Think of at least one specific way, and act on it.

3. What stands out to me in Romans 2 ?

GOD promises that His Word will NOT return void. GOD bless you as you reflect on & apply HIS Word in your life.
