Nematodes as key indicators of soil health - Part 1

Описание: Nematodes are the most numerous multicellular organisms that live in almost every corner of the earth. They are incredibly diverse. They are found in soil, water and even inside other animals. Most fertile agricultural soils have at least 5 million nematodes per square meter. They feed mainly on bacteria and fungi, but plant-parasitic, omnivorous and predatory species also occur.
For each human, approximately 60 billion nematodes are living in the soil.
