Using QTI to Enable Open Response Assessment

Описание: As the assessment industry becomes increasingly digitized, institutions need a streamlined and secure way of measuring assessments. While automated scoring can relieve the grading work for many types of assessment questions, there may still be test sections that require written responses, which are more nuanced and in turn require human marking. However, without an interoperable ecosystem built on open standards in place, connecting new applications for end-to-end assessment becomes difficult, costly and a burden on institutional time and resources.

This session will highlight the role of QTI in building a solution for open response assessment scoring. We will also show how we've built an interoperable end-to-end assessment environment that includes a manual scoring component, and dive into important considerations like usability and accessibility for both test-takers and scoring users.
