WIRING NIGHTMARE! 😱 Trying to Fix the PD150 Passat B3 Dash

​Today on ADHD Customs, I’m diving deep into the dashboard of the PD150-swapped Passat B3 to try and solve the mystery of the non-working rev counter and digital cluster. I was hoping for a straightforward plug-and-play, but instead, I found a maze of taped-up wires and flashing lights that make no sense.

​The Deep Dive: Pulling the dash apart to inspect the ARL engine conversion loom and discovering some very strange "extras" hidden underneath.
​The Digital Dash Test: Plugging in the rare digital cluster to see what happens—and it gets weird. The displays only seem to light up when the ignition is turned off.
​The Rev Counter Pulse: Hunting for the legendary "bright green wire" from the ECU that’s supposed to control the rev counter.
​MFA Struggles: Realizing there’s no plug for the Multi-Function Assembly stalk and that fitting it might actually break my custom intermittent wiper setup.
​The Outcome: Admitting that while the gauges work, the wiring logic in this car is completely backwards.
​I'm no wiring expert, but I know when something is a "f***ing nightmare". The B3 dashboard is still a work in progress, but we’re one step closer to understanding the chaos.
