One of the great innovations in the LED poi market of the past few years has been the introduction of programmable LED strip poi. This style allows you to upload images that the poi will display using a combination of a strip of LEDs as well as the persistence of vision phenomenon. One of the makers of this style of poi, Ignis, sent me a set of their Pixel to review. I’ve had them for several months now and find the technology eye-catching, but the programming difficult.
