osu! Highest PP Scores of EVERY MONTH

Описание: This video is the culmination of over a month and countless of hours of research and editing, and is intended to act as an archive of osu! players' most notable achievements throughout the game's 14 year history.

The ppv2 system, introduced in January 2014, was designed to quantify how "impressive" a score is by considering a multitude of factors such as speed, precision, accuracy, and reading. Despite its imperfections, the current November 2021 rework is the closest there is to truly measuring these skills.

Only a handful of notable scores prior to ppv2 have been thoroughly documented. For the first half of osu!'s lifetime, the game had a relatively small community, and score-posting was a niche hobby reserved for the most committed of users. This video hopes to provide a glimpse into how top players have improved over time, as well as shed some light on the game's history before the modern age of ppv2.

All pp values are calculated based on the current November 2021 rework.

The entire submitted scores database was provided to me by Ameo (https://osu.ppy.sh/users/Ameo). THANK YOU!!!!! Without it, this project would have not been possible :)

In many cases, scores were either overwritten or deleted (Cookiezi ban). For these, I used the wayback machine and the Cookiezi Replays youtube channel to do my search.
