"In discussion with" features video interviews and discussions with various guests who are experienced in differing topics related to the martial arts. In these, the public has the opportunity to submit questions for the guests to answer and discuss. Mushin Martial Culture Patreon supporters will have preference with regards to their questions submitted. While this episode was prerecorded, in future these will be live-streamed for the public's live interaction.

Episode #001 - Lavell Marshall & Emanuele Papa
This discussion ran long, so I have split it into to parts. Part 1 features a general discussion and part 2 features the questions submitted by the public and the discussions related to those.

Brief Biographies of the guests:

Lavell Marshall is a multiple time national and international Shuai Jiao champion. For the last three years he has been living in the grasslands of Inner-Mongolia and studying, competing and researching Mongolian Bokh.

Emanuele Papa has studied traditional chinese martial arts since the age of 15 and started practicing Shuaijiao in 2017. He is a student of Master Li Deshun 李德顺 whom he met during the time he spent in Beijing studying for his master’s degree. He holds a BA in Anthropology and an MA in philosophy from Renmin University. He’s is currently using wrestling to investigate the concept of ethnic and group identity and its transformations from the Qing dynasty to today.
