When Bangladesh’s interim administration took office in August 2024 under Muhammad Yunus, it pledged zero tolerance for corruption and a path toward credible elections.
Eighteen months later, allegations of nepotism, conflicts of interest, licensing irregularities, and rising project costs have sparked debate. Reports by outlets including The Daily Star, Prothom Alo and The Financial Express have highlighted questions over appointments, asset disclosures, and regulatory approvals linked to Grameen-affiliated entities.
