Hololive Generation 3 Original - Interact Fantasia!

A familiar face debuts in this video, and its a chaotic one!

December 2021 will be a month of recollection, change, growth and acceptance.

Other than the significance of Christmas this month, there's something personal about this upload that I will address in the NEXT video.

For now, lets hear what is so amazing about Hololive Fantasy's Original: Interact Fantasia!!

Excuse me if I looked a tad too emotionless, this piece required a bit more concentration than others, and when I was editing these footage, I kinda looked so dead serious for a fun song XD

But trust me, I haven't had so much enjoyment in a while when recording this piece!

The first thing that hooked me onto the song was the multitude of layers of melodies/instruments. They enriched this piece significantly that it was HARD not to keep this on LOOP while listening out for the various parts which I can include for a 3 hand portion, and other challenging parts that I could include into the final arrangement.

The first challenge was to address the syncopation in the verses. In the original, each member's first lines are actually NOT on the first beat, but rather a quaver's worth BEFORE the intended bar. this minor inclusion of the lyrics/melodies made it difficult to pin point accurately where does the chord actually start, as they appear Multiple times throughout the song. I gave many attempts, listened to the piece slowly and repetitively, and finally settled on what I think IS the actual construct of the lyrics at for the verses starting at 1:08.

Secondly, the syncopations gave rise to ALOT of standout melodies. Be it in the background melodies, the lyrics, or even the bass, there were points in the song that just stood out so splendidly. Of course, it would be impossible to include everything with only an instrument and 2 hands, I included a Trumpets' line at 1:23 and 2:06 here, and mixing it with the BASS just felt so good to pull it off.

One of the best parts of this piece is undoubtedly the chorus: the change in key amplifies the energy of the piece.

From a Gb major piece, it turns into an Ab major piece. And what more appropriate to introduce a dose of vibe-energy in the chorus section. I get pumped up whenever the transition into the chorus comes, and it just simply fills you with... DETERMINATION! (to get this piece perfected!)

The piece then transitions to a bridge which is pretty normal, but dayyyyuuuummmm, Rushia's voice at 4:38 is simply amazing!! It was as though the lines were PERFECTLY made for her tone, intonation, and it hit the MOST BEAUTIFUL spot in her vocal range. faints

And finally the LAST piece of the puzzle of Interact Fantasia that made this whole piece even sweeter is the change of chords at 5:00. This for some reason gave me the goosebumps as i envisioned if i could play this live, it would have to be THIS section that will deliver the Cherry on top of the cake. It is this part where I included a semi-crazy run of scales to bring out the grandness that I envisioned as I put some kick-ass anime theme song arrangement style. And I hope this part really delivers to you!

Phew~ It's been awhile since I last made a full blown FULL piece, such as the likes of IRyS' Diorama, Caesura of Despair and Here Comes Hope etc. And Interact Fantasia to me is a piece that is simply meant to be honored with a full-sized arrangement and not just a half-piece or in anime theme song terms, TV-sized.

Honestly, Working on this piece really had me experience once again the joy of Maining a J Pop piano channel. Even though Hololive MUSIC is a J Pop genre, the LAST piece that had me feeling like this was probably IRyS's Caesura of Despair and Diorama. Both arrangements had some difficulty to them, and they weren't straightforward too. And after so long, Interact Fantasia has allowed me to feel the FUN and JOY of playing challenging Japanese/Anime music, and the only way I could do it a splendid honor was to NOT cut corners and arrange a FULL sized piano piece.

And maybe you've also noticed some gradual or drastic changes for this piano channel, and
I'll speak more about the changes i've made to the channel in the next video, but for now, i'd like to let you know, that Interact Fantasia is truly one of the BEST songs Hololive has ever produced.
