Описание: We have explored the idea that the perverse subject positions themselves as ‘the object of the Other’s jouissance’. Who exactly is this Other though? Via a reading of select passages in Henry Bond’s book ‘Lacan at the Scene’, we offer an answer to this question by discussing graffiti and the perverse crime scene. We pause to consider to whom the Marquis de Sade’s writings were addressed. We highlight the idea that the perverse subject displaces their division onto the other. We also discuss the necessarily inter-subjective dimension of a perverse enactment, by reference to the idea of the perverse couple, noting also how in such situations we often see a shift from unwilling participant to accomplice (as discussed by Jean Clavreul).
