The mission of Open & Agile Smart Cities (OASC) is to unite cities and communities around the world to build a global market for city data and smart services based on the needs of cities and communities.
To achieve this mission, OASC promotes the Minimal Interoperability Mechanisms (MIMs), a set of minimal capabilities needed for scalable and interoperable digital services and supported by technical and open specifications.
Using MIMs, our community enables seamless sharing and re-using of digital, data-driven solutions, thereby reducing the cost of innovation, increasing the return on investment, and – thanks to the use of open standards and APIs – avoiding vendor lock-in.
