We scan the entire area with hope, searching for signs, pugmarks, or any movement—but the jungle keeps its secrets hidden. No tracks, no calls… just patience and anticipation. So we stop our vehicle, pause the rush, and carefully plan our next move—because in Dhikala, strategy matters as much as luck.
After a few moments, something catches our attention—a few jeeps stopped near the Ram Ganga River. That single sign is enough to ignite excitement. We head there, hearts racing, eyes locked ahead.
And then… the moment we were waiting for.
Right in front of us, the Queen of Dhikala, the majestic Ped Wali Tigress, is sitting calmly in the bushes, taking a peaceful sunbath. Royal. Fearless. Unbothered. The golden sunlight falling on her stripes makes the scene unforgettable. Time seems to stand still as we capture this magical moment on camera.
We wait patiently, hoping she will move, hoping for another angle, another pose—but the queen decides otherwise. She stays right there, relaxed, soaking in the warmth of the sun, reminding us who truly rules this forest.
With hearts full and memories etched forever, we slowly head back to our FRH, grateful for the experience. Some safaris give you sightings, but some give you moments that stay with you forever—and this was one of them.
