The excursion started at the Lhoist facility in Crab Orchard, Tennessee and ran past Piney Creek Bridge, stopping just short of Willet Hollow Tunnel. Because of track work underway near the tunnel the excursion didn't go to Rockwood. There was a photo run-by at Daysville.
Part 1 shows Crab Orchard to Daysville.

Lhoist (LNAX) operates part of the former Tennessee Central Railway from Crab Orchard to the NS interchange in Rockwood. A Southern Appalachia Railway Museum excursion train was visiting Lhoist for a Family & Friends excursion. This line was previously operated by Franklin Industrial Minerals. This portion of the Tennessee Central was part of the Crossville - Harriman section that Southern purchased after the TC's 1968 bankruptcy.
The locomotive pulling this excursion is Clinchfield 800. 800 was originally built as an F3, but Clinchfield later upgraded it to F7 specs. This locomotive has had an interesting history, including being business train locomotive 116 on Seaboard System and CSX, as well as running on MARC commuter trains in Maryland. The horn being used on 800 is a Nathan M5 that came from a wrecked L&N FA-2.
Sorry about the lens flare, but the train was eastbound early on a sunny Fall day.
