Check out a quick look at our latest FX work! We've completed the core FLIP fluid simulation for the shot where the robot precisely dispenses that thick, specific liquid.
The main challenge here was nailing the physics of a highly viscous substance that also displays strong surface tension—think thick honey or glue. Getting the fluid to pull away smoothly in clean tendrils, without breaking up into chaotic splashes, was all about fine-tuning those parameters in Houdini.
The simulation is cached and stable. Next up: Meshing and then off to Lookdev for final renders!
