What started as a domestic disturbance around 1:15 PM escalated to a 2-alarm fire at the Mineral Springs Hotel & Bar located at 4306 N. Delaware Drive in Forks Township.
Fire officials arrived just before 1:30 PM and reported flames showing from the building.
The fire quickly escalated to 2-alarms with multiple tanker task forces dispatched as the fire ran the length of the cockloft. The scene is located about 4 miles north of the City of Easton and has no hydrant system. Tankers were called in from as far away as Lehigh County to help supply water. Some companies were drafting from the Delaware River.
It took firefighters over 2 hours to darken down the bulk of the fire. They remained on scene for hours overhauling and putting out hot spots.
The City of Easton provided assistance with their Tower Ladder and a few firefighters.
2 Police officers and 2 civilians were injured. One person was reported to have burn injuries.
