098. How to - fit Hornby's Buckeye Magnetic Couplings R7398 to their Class 43 (post 2022) Locos

Описание: This video is applicable to all of Hornby’s 2022 onwards retooled Class 43 HST loco pairs, not just my example choice.
The purpose is to find out if Hornby’s Buckeye Magnetic Couplings, as supplied as an option with all their new retooled 2019 onwards BR Mk.3 Carriages, will also work on their retooled 2022 onwards Class 43 locomotives, so to connect them to said Carriages.
Reason – Hornby do not provide these optional Couplings in their Class 43 Train Packs. So are their absence deliberate or just absent minded of them ?

My choice of train – LSL Midland Pullman. As soon as someone spotted (for the first time) this amazing looking blue & white train for real, leaving Eastleigh Shed or somewhere in the far south of England & uploaded their footage to YouTube, I was fascinated. I love the original 1960s Blue Pullman & have the Bachmann one, which is just gorgeous. So when Hornby announced they were introducing this one-off HST 125 set, I had to have it, all of it, so ordered the whole train straight away. I think the train first appeared in Hornby’s centenary catalogue back in 2020.

• A Hornby The One:One Collection – R40175 Locomotive Services Limited (LSL) BR Mk.3 Trailer Guard Standard Carriage.

Recommended Tools :
• A foam type Loco Cradle.
• A fine pair of Snipe Nosed Pliers.
