US State Secretary Marco Rubio said that US hopes to resolve the pause in aid to Ukraine during talks with Ukrainian officials in Jeddah. Rubio said the US is in a listening mode and aims to understand what concessions Ukraine might be willing to make. Marco Rubio met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah. MBS held a separate meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Riyadh earlier in the day. However, Rubio expressed optimism about the upcoming meeting with Ukrainian delegation. On Tuesday, Rubio will join US NSA Mike Waltz for Jeddah talks with Ukrainian officials as Donald Trump pushes to broker a swift end to the war. Rubio also added that there were still more details to be worked out on the minerals deal between US and Ukraine.
