EN - Officials from the Central Control Service (CCD) are visiting shops in The Hague to check prices, quality, and inventory as part of the fight against evasion of the distribution system and price gouging by black marketeers. At a grocer's, everything is in order. However, a clandestine inventory is discovered at a textile dealer and confiscated. At a café, drinks and bitterballen (bitterballen) are checked, and a stash of clandestine eggs is seized. On the access roads to the city, motorists are ordered to stop and have their cars searched. At the station, a black marketeer arrives by train with his merchandise (a large piece of meat) hidden in a briefcase. He is caught and taken away in a police van. The seized goods are stored in a warehouse pending confiscation.

NL - Ambtenaren van de Centrale Controle Dienst (CCD) gaan in Den Haag winkels af om prijzen, kwaliteiten en voorraden te controleren in het kader van de strijd tegen de ontduiking van het distributiesysteem en prijsopdrijving door zwarthandelaren. Bij een kruidenier is alles in orde. Bij een textielhandelaar wordt echter een clandestiene voorraad aangetroffen. Deze wordt in beslag genomen. In een café worden drank en bitterballen gecontroleerd en een voorraadje clandestiene eieren in beslag genomen. Op de toegangswegen naar de stad moeten automobilisten stoppen en hun auto laten doorzoeken. Op het station arriveert per trein een zwarthandelaar met zijn handel (een groot stuk vlees) verborgen in een koffertje. Hij wordt gesnapt en afgevoerd met een boevenwagen. De in beslag genomen goederen worden opgeslagen in een magazijn in afwachting van hun verbeurdverklaring.
