The Epiphone Ripper, a reissue of the iconic Gibson Ripper from the 1970s. But this particular bass? It’s been through some serious neglect.
It was given to me for free and it was in rough shape. Rust covered nearly every metal component, knobs were missing, the nut was gone, and some of the bridge saddles had vanished. With no resources to tackle such a massive restoration, I had no choice but to store it away—for nearly five years.
But after diving into guitar customizations and restorations, I knew it was finally time to bring this Ripper back to life.
