( ベルセルク, Beruseruku) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura. Set in a medieval Europe-inspired dark fantasy world, the story centers on the characters of Guts, a lone mercenary, and Griffith, the leader of a mercenary band called the "Band of the Hawk". Miura premiered a prototype of Berserk in 1988. The actual series began the following year in the now-defunct magazine Monthly Animal House, which was replaced in 1992 by the bimonthly magazine Young Animal, where Berserk continues to be serialized intermittently.

Berserk (ベルセルク Beruseruku) é uma série de mangá escrita e ilustrada por Kentaro Miura. Situado em um mundo de fantasia sombria inspirado na Europa medieval, a história gira em torno do solitário Guts, um ex-mercenário e agora um espadachim amaldiçoado e forçado a vagar sem descanso para sobreviver e buscar vingança, e Griffith, o líder de um bando de mercenários chamado de "Bando do Falcão". Temas de isolamento, traição, a ilusão do livre-arbítrio, autopreservação, e a questão de se a humanidade é fundamentalmente boa ou má permeiam a história, explorando o melhor e o pior lado da natureza humana.

Miura estreou um one-shot de Berserk em 1988. A série atual começou a ter os seus capítulos publicados no ano seguinte na agora extinta revista Monthly Animal House, que foi substituída em 1992 pela revista semestral Young Animal, onde Berserk continua a ser serializado intermitentemente. A série foi adaptada em uma série de anime de 25 episódios que adaptam o arco Era de Ouro da série pelo estúdio OLM, que foi exibido de 7 de outubro de 1997 a 31 de março de 1998. Uma trilogia de filmes que adapta o mesmo arco, Berserk: Ōgon Jidai-Hen, foi lançada a partir de 2012 até 2013. Uma segunda adaptação em anime que dá continuidade a história começou a ser transmitida em 1 de julho de 2016 e foi finalizada em 23 de junho de 2017.
