Описание: The last piece that Debussy wrote for piano, “Les Soirs illuminés par l’ardeur du charbon”, was written in 1917 to express Debussy’s gratitude to his coal merchant. Debussy was in financial difficulties at the time, and was consequently unable to pay for one of the deliveries to his home. “Les Soirs” was offered as a token of gratitude. The title is taken from a poem by Baudelaire and translates as “Evenings lit by the burning coals”.
