NHS workers and council staff are among more than 15,000 people across the South East who used just one food bank in Kent last month. Students, pensioners and young families are among the queues outside the community pantry run by Gillingham Street Angels every morning.
It comes as exclusive analysis by ITV Meridian has found the cost of a small weekly shop can be up to 15% more expensive depending on which shop you visit and what products are available.
