Описание: Purbachal Shakti Sangha’s 17th Year of Durga Puja
This year’s theme: “Māṭkhodāi Kāṭkhodāi” (Etching the Earth, Carving the Wood)

The intent behind māṭkhodāi is the rebirth of crops; the purpose of kāṭkhodāi is the making of prints and sculptures. The Puja presentation is bringing together seven prominent contemporary artists of India—artists whose practices in printmaking, painting, and sculpture have made significant impressions in the current Indian art landscape. This collective artwork honours the memory of the legendary printmaker Haren Das (1921--1993)
