♻️ Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026 | Big Change, Big Impact! 🇮🇳
From 1 April 2026, India takes a major step towards a cleaner and circular economy 🌍
🔹 Four-stream segregation at source is now mandatory:
🟢 Wet Waste – kitchen waste, fruit & vegetable peels (for composting/biomethanation)
🔵 Dry Waste – plastic, paper, metal, glass (for recycling at MRFs)
🟡 Sanitary Waste – diapers, sanitary pads, condoms (securely wrapped & stored separately)
🔴 Special Care Waste – paint cans, bulbs, mercury thermometers, medicines (to be handled by authorised agencies)
🏢 Clear responsibilities defined for Bulk Waste Generators
