SPECIAL NOTE: These two instrumental pieces are songs that Wayne Schell wrote and composed many years ago in his musical journey. Shafer's Wharf was inspired by an old fisherman's wharf in Grafton, IL and Range Line Road is a winding, country road located in Jersey County, IL. We have performed both songs at practically ever gig we have played. I love both songs!
This is a recording I did on October 15, 2022 at the White Hall Lions Club Fall Festival in White Hall, Illinois. We (The Lodge Bros) have very few recordings of us performing "live" on stage. I decided to try and capture us this weekend with my new DJI Action 2 camera sitting on the stage. Unfortunately, the light wind we had all afternoon at the festival, made it onto the recording and is an annoyance. And, although it was a beautiful Fall afternoon with sunshine and blue skies, the temperature was in the mid-60s F and underneath the roof of the stage, the little bit of wind made it a bit chilly!
Despite the wind and cool, brisk Fall air, we had a GREAT time playing for the folks in attendance at the festival and it was good seeing some old friends from my high school days and all my nieces and nephew!
