Police deployed a 'knife-arch' at Market Harborough railway station as part of a campaign to tackle knife-crime.
The metal detector was set-up in the booking office as passengers head to and from platforms.
The action is in support of Operation Sceptre – a week-long national campaign to target those carrying knives.
There have been three incidents in Market Harborough in the past year where people have been stabbed.
