Travelling from Munich to Zugspitze is the best way to see the Alps unless you are a hiker or a skier :) The journey begins with a train ride from Munich central station to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. From there, take a classic cogwheel train and travel 3000m above the sea level to reach the peak of Zugspitze. Alternatively, you can get off the train at Eibsee and take a cable car from there to the peak. For this journey, I choose the cable car for the spectacular bird eye view.
