Pistachio Butter Ingredients:
Unsalted pistachios 300g (there’s a typo in the video)
Milk powder 50g
Powdered sugar 30g
Neutral oil 50 ml
Blue food colour (optional)
Recipe:
Toast pistachios for 5-10 minutes on low-medium heat.
Let them cool. Place the pistachios on a kitchen towel and rub them to remove the skin.
Add toasted pistachios into a blender, blend until it turns into a paste, this takes around 10-15 minutes.
Once it comes together, you can add the other ingredients. Add milk powder, powdered sugar and neutral oil (I used sunflower oil). Blend until smooth.
During the blending process, make sure to take breaks so that the blender doesn’t overheat.
Optionally, you can add blue food colouring to cancel the yellowness of the pistachios, this gives the butter a greener colour.
Pistachio butter is ready! You can store it at room temperature for around 6 months. It lasts even longer if stored in the fridge.
