This song from Kate's debit album "The Kick Inside" was released in 1978, although she wrote it in 1975 when she was thirteen!
This is my lever harp version so I've had to adapt the accompaniment a little, but I hope it keeps the essence. I've been wanting to do a cover of this on the harp for ages (I used to sing with my guitar), so I was thrilled when Vanessa & Stuart gave me the excuse by requesting it as one of their new songs for their wedding on 30th October 2025.
This song has special place in my heart. I was eleven when it came out, so Kate is a part of my musical history and formation.
