Vbeam laser is one of the most important pulse-dyed lasers (PDL) on the market, and recently the system got an upgrade from the Perfecta to the Prima.

VBeam has always been used to treat redness-related concerns, such as:
Rosacea
Acne (both redness and inflammation in current acne outbreaks and also red scarring)
Broken blood vessels (redness from sun damage and traumatic injury)
Cherry angiomas (spot broken vessels)
Red scarring
Red or purple stretch marks (white stretch marks require different techniques)

Both versions of the laser have the original 595nm laser, which is attracted to the color red. But, the new Prima VBeam platform has an additional laser wavelength (1064), which makes it better able to treat deeper layers of the skin, as well as treating certain skin types that weren’t as well-treated by the previous platform, namely those with Hispanic, Asian, Middle Eastern, and/or Mediterranean heritage. These patients generally fall into skin type 4 or 5 in the Fitzgerald Skin Type Scale, and are some of the most likely to have laser sensitivity issues (or to be over-treated or under-treated by inexperienced laser providers).
