Описание: Commissioned by Julius Caesar shortly before his assassination in the 1st century BCE, the Theater of Marcellus in Rome, Italy, was the largest theater in the ancient world with a capacity of more than 10,000 spectators. It was used as a fortress during the Middle Ages and transformed into a family palace during the Renaissance. Today, the upper floors are still occupied by residential apartments!
