The Newcomer mini-series follows the stories of BEP Speakers who were newcomers to Canada at a young age. Our goal for these videos is to help newcomer youth answer the question, “What can I do with my life now that I’m here in Canada?”
Shandie told us about how her and her family were able to adapt to life in Canada coming from Guyana, a small country in South America. Through volunteering and schooling she learned about how much she enjoys working as a Correctional Officer with the Correctional Service of Canada.
