Recording Seven Seas has been extremely challenging & extremely rewarding! When we started recording this song in our studio we felt bored and somehow we had fallen into a routine. The life and inspiration of the song just wasn't present anymore. So we packed our bags and our portable reel to reel tape machine and hit the road.

We recorded each instrument in a different location in California's beautiful nature. If we felt that we would really connect with the song by being in certain locations, than we went there!!! Stephanie's vocals next to a creek in the woods. Acoustic guitars in a beautiful pasture. Bells in the mountains. etc... We really felt that each part had a certain special timbre to it because of the uniqueness of the recording.

Although the quality may not be as great as tracking things in a controlled studio room. The character of the song and all its functioning parts formed a better marriage than we could have hoped for.
