The point of this video is that you can use brass set screws 8-32 in size to restrict the fuel going into the power valve and idle circuit of the carburetor. This is the last part of building your own holley carb for high power. This has been a 3 part series based around the entire premise that you can make any power that you want to make if you make the right choices when it comes to building your own holley carb. In the next video that I make about carbs I will be sharing what I ultimately decided on using for my e85 turbo build. This series of videos will show you that any regular guy can take a stock used carb and use used parts to make it perform the way it needs to perform for his build. In future videos I will show you guys how to make the nessesary changes to be able to tune a holley. everything from adjusting the idle all the way to adjusting the secondary power enrichment circuit. Tuning is based on a triangle and the better your tune is down low, the easier it will be to tune up top.

Today we are going over the carburetor build for my turbo LS build. This carburetor started life as an alcohol carb race demon and soon it will be set up for regular 87 octane gasoline. Once I finish the tune for 87, I will be adding a cam and then later retuning for the switch to e85. Once all that preliminary tuning is out of the way, I will be installing the turbo charger and begin tuning on that as well. As I step up the power levels, this carb will get wilder and wilder so you dont want to miss any of the holley carb secrets!

After A long while I have put the most cohesive method of setting up the idle on your holley carb. Setting the idle mixture screws and getting your engine to run clean without having to buy any special tools. In this video I manage to set up the idle in less than 15 mins and also do it quickly and easily. As of right now, the holley carb on the 318 duster is perfectly set up in both idle mixture and idle speed. The carburetor in question is a DEMON 625, an older barry grant holley copy before holley bought out DEMON. It took a little bit of work, but I've got this set up perfectly.
