Schindler-Haughton Traction Elevators (M-Series Touch Sensitive Fixtures!!!) in Toledo, OH

Описание: My visit to Toledo was very brief (only 1-2 hours), I only filmed 3 videos. Here is the first one.

This was to my knowledge Schindler-Haughton's top-of-the-line elevator model before Schindler bought Westinghouse's elevator division, at which point I think production of all Schindler-Haughton elevator models stopped. This also was the very first Schindler elevator model in the US to use their European-designed fixtures, instead of Haughton fixtures. I would guess these elevators also run on true Schindler European-designed controllers (not Haughton controllers), but I don't think that has been confirmed.

These are ONLY known surviving elevators in the United States to have these fixtures!!! Even the door open/close buttons are touch sensitive! There is one other installation known with the "pressable" (non touch sensitive) version of these fixtures.

The "Going Up" and "Going Down" voices don't always trigger, I think they only trigger if the elevator has another car call (hence me pressing the button for another floor while the car is moving to trigger them).

I would have liked to have gotten a better video (I think floor 10 is unlocked during business hours), but I was here after-hours, which is also the reason I avoided going to the lobby. If you have the choice I VERY strongly recommend against visiting after-hours.
