📘 Translation: ESV Anglicised
The English Standard Version (ESV) Anglicised is a UK-adapted edition of the ESV Bible. It keeps the same trusted, word-for-word translation philosophy while using British spelling, punctuation, and grammar (for example: favour, honour, defence).
The ESV is known for being:
Accurate and faithful to the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek
Clear and readable for public reading and personal devotion
Well suited to both study and listening
The Anglicised edition makes it especially accessible for UK readers and listeners, while remaining faithful to the original ESV text.
