The deputy Inspector General of Police, Major General Paul Lokech aka the Lion of Mogadishu passed on Saturday with the cause of demise associated with blood clot.
Both the army and the police confirmed the demise. The IGP Martins Okoth Ochola has ordered for a postmortem to establish the exact cause of Lokech's death.
The demise of the former Chief of the Defence forces and later the minister of Internal affairs, General Aronda Nyakairima was also linked killed blood clot. He fell silent en route to Dubai from Seoul, South Korea.
The demise of Lokech occurred at a time UPDF are yet to send off the recently retired general Pecos Kutesa who met his death in India.
