When a rescue involves going high up on a ladder... Simon feels his knees begin to shake...!
A few days ago, he was called out to a pigeon stuck in netting on the facade of a high building. He borrowed another Simon, a builder who was doing some work at the centre, to do the job! Our Simon was then able to keep his feet on the ground, holding the ladder, while somebody else rescued the animal!
The bird was safely untangled, brought back to the centre for a bit of R&R, and then released!
