"Moon the Blue Bunny Who Dared to Say 'No'"
In a quiet green forest, there lived a little light blue bunny named Moon.
Moon wasn’t the loudest in class.
He was quiet, gentle, and liked to listen more than talk.
But his heart was full of kindness.
Every morning, Moon brought his favorite toy to play under the big pine tree.
But lately… he didn’t want to go there anymore.
Because someone kept taking his toy away.
“That’s mine! You came last, Moon. Wait your turn!”
shouted a brown bunny named Bamboo,
who always used his loud voice to get what he wanted.
Moon froze—and stayed silent.
That evening, Moon came home quiet and sad.
But his white bunny mother, Luna, noticed right away.
“You don’t seem happy today, sweetie. You can tell me anything.”
Her voice was soft—like a warm blanket on a cold night.
Moon began to share… with tears in his eyes.
Mama Bunny hugged him tight and said,
“You’re not wrong to feel upset.”
“You have the right to say you don’t like something.
You don’t have to let anyone keep hurting your heart.”
The next day, when Bamboo came to take his toy again,
Moon stood up just a little taller, even though he was still scared.
Then he said clearly,
“Stop. I don’t like how you treat me.”
His voice was soft—but steady.
Bamboo paused… and walked away.
But Moon still didn’t feel safe.
He went to Teacher Wildflower and said,
“Teacher, I’ve been getting bullied. Can you please help?”
The teacher listened kindly,
but the next day... Bamboo was still the same.
Moon felt heavy inside.
But Mama said,
“If the teacher’s help isn’t enough, I’ll step in for you.”
She gathered notes, names, and events,
then went to speak with Principal Mapleleaf,
with courage and love in her heart.
Soon, the school began a Morning Circle—
a gentle time when every student could say,
“Here’s what’s in my heart today.”
Bamboo listened as friends shared their hurts.
His heart began to soften. He started to understand.
One day, he walked up to Moon and said softly,
“I’m sorry… I didn’t know it hurt you so much.”
Moon smiled.
Not because everything was perfect—
but because he now knew...
“Saying ‘No’ didn’t make him weak.
It made his heart stronger than ever.”
