Dr. Francis Juanes is a professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Victoria Faculty of Science. He studies ecology, evolution and behavior of fishes and crustaceans. In this video, he discusses why it is important to study fish and fisheries at a basic biological level and how government agencies, as well as First Nations and sport fishermen, can use his research to ensure sustainability of fish species.
