Streetwear pioneer and HUMAN MADE founder NIGO is also a serious collector of vintage Levi’s®. It’s his favorite covetable, archival styles that inspired the Levi’s® x HUMAN MADE collaboration.

For our latest collection, we teamed up with HUMAN MADE to recreate 2 iconic silhouettes - the 1944 Levi’s® 501® Jean and 506 Trucker Jacket. Made in a Japanese artisan mill using selvedge denim and traditional Levi’s® techniques. From the Levi’s® x HUMAN MADE embroidery graphic on the back of the jacket to the custom button shanks, look closely to find the special details that take these two pieces to the next level. With this latest collection, it’s all about modern details with nods to the past. Pair both pieces together for a fit that looks like it was pulled straight from the archive.

The campaign brings these modern re-creations to life in a historic Japanese setting. It was shot on location at the Eirakukan Theater – the oldest Kabuki theater in Japan still standing in its original location – and highlights many of the elements found in traditional performances. Watch as NIGO takes you on a journey, seamlessly time traveling from the past to the present.
