To have Real Madrid come to our patch in the Champions League was special enough, but to go toe-to-toe with them? That’s different gravy. It wasn’t the start we wanted—Endrick is a bit of a talent, isn't he?—and when Bruno Fernandes put them 2-0 up, I think a few people might have feared the worst.
But this squad... they just don’t know when they’re beaten.
Justin Kluivert. What can I even say? The lad was unplayable tonight. A hattrick against the kings of Europe! He sniffed out every mistake they made and showed exactly why he’s our talisman. Seeing the North Stand go mental when that third goal went in at the death... that’s why we love this game.
It was a proper "I was there" moment. Football was the winner today, but honestly, I think we deserved every bit of that point.
