EFF leader Julius Malema has declared that all SASSA grant recipients should receive water and electricity at no cost. He made the statement during the closing address of the party's 2nd Plenum of the 3rd National People's Assembly, held at the Birchwood Hotel and Conference Centre. In the same address, Malema called for the immediate shutdown of the Israeli embassy in South Africa, following the recent declaration of Ariel Seidman, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Israeli Embassy, as persona non grata. The remarks signal the party’s continued focus on social welfare and foreign policy issues.
