Support continues to pour in for Chief Minister Yediyurappa. Sri Sangana Basava Swami of Kottur Veerashaiva Shivayoga Mandir, a Lingayat seer, claimed that the BJP high command is behind the conspiracy of leadership change in Karnataka, claiming that the BJP is only in the state because of BS Yediyurappa and that the BJP high command should reconsider changing the state's Chief Minister. The Lingayat community makes up 17% of the state's population.
250 seers from Karnataka met the CM at his office yesterday to extend their support and urged the Yediyurappa to challenge BJP high commands and ask them to rethink their decision.
