This video comes after some discussion (hi Sam!) regarding Anima from Ritual Electronics.
Here, Anima is mostly used as LFOs in order to control some parameters from Altar and Miasma. I then use Anima for crosspatching through the Curve inputs. Altar filters stuff, Miasma distorts it or makes it squeal.
There's some tape action happening, I also use Soundforce's amazing DCO module, and then AM radio noise gets shaped by Altar and modulations. The sound moves between both left and right channels. That's normal. This is what happened when wiggling the knobs.
This is by no means a performance nor an improvisation, I'm more interested in people hearing what this stuff can sound like in general, and I also apologise in advance to those who do not enjoy the greatness of noise. By the way, be careful with the volume drops and sudden changes. This may be painful.
The stereo effects are very important here and I highly suggest everyone to watch this with their headphones on.
The sound is not altered in any way and recorded straight from the rack into a Zoom H5, no pedals or effects were added in postproduction.
Gear used:
Ritual Electronics Anima.
4MS VCA Matrix.
Manhattan Analog DTM Mixer.
Ritual Electronics Altar.
Ritual Electronics Miasma + Crime.
CV tape station.
Soundforce DCO.
Thanks again to Jess, and also to Sam.
Merci.
