Dawless Atmospheric Jungle DnB - Circuit Tracks / Moog Minitaur

Описание: A really simple setup this time! Just the Novation Circuit Tracks groovebox and the Moog Minitaur, plus my custom stereo high pass filter from TSL Studio Equipment. Originally I had multiple basses and leads in the mix and additional hardware, but as usual simplifying things helped it all come together.

Most of the sounds and all of the sequencing on this track come from the Novation Circuit Tracks. The Circuit Tracks pack on this one is the Electribe EM-1 pack from ‪@A_Force_Truly_Evil‬, available at his own site Sci-Fi Audio https://sci-fiaudio.com/?product=elec... and also from Isotonik Studios. I wanted an Electribe way back when they first came out, and I feel like this pack delivers with great sounding samples from the drum tracks and awesome synth patches emulating the original EM-1 sounds. These sounds are perfect for some Atmospheric Jungle/Drum n Bass. A Force Truly Evil is an incredible sound designer, and he's also become a friend of mine here on YouTube. I've purchased six of his packs and he's given me a couple of extras because he's a gentleman. Please believe me when I say he's at the top of the Circuit Tracks game and you should check him out!

The bass here is the Moog Minitaur. I love the sound of this thing. I wish it had just a bit more in terms of modulation flexibility, but it's a really cool sounding synth and I don't think I'll ever get rid of it.

The routing on this jam is Midi out from the Circuit Tracks to the Minitaur, then audio out of the Minitaur into the first audio in of the Circuit Tracks. All the audio, sample, and synth engine tracks are mixed on the Circuit, and then the stereo out goes through my custom Stereo High Pass filter, which was built by TSL Studio Equipment. I talked about this filter in the description for my last Circuit Tracks video. It's a clone of the high pass filter circuit from the MS-20, in stereo. I use it as a sort of mastering effect for Dawless setups. By setting the cutoff around the fundamental frequency of the kick or bass in a track and boosting the resonance I get a huge, clean low end. You could do this with any resonant high pass filter (and people have done this trick for decades) but mine is specially designed to my specs with a limited cutoff frequency range from 0-250hz. I can dial it very precisely since the frequency range doesn't go all the way up to 20khz like most filters do.
