21 houses set on fire in Bihar's Nawada, land dispute suspected

Twenty-one houses were set on fire in Bihar's Nawada district on Wednesday evening, police said.
Preliminary investigation suggested that a land dispute could be the cause behind the incident that happened in Manjhi Tola in Mufassil police station area, they said.
No one was injured in the incident, they added.
Ten people were detained, and a search was on to nab the other accused persons, police said.
"There is an incident of fire break-out in 21 houses here. Teams of state police have been deployed on spot," said Nawada's DM Ashutosh Kumar Burma.
Another police officer said shots were also fired in the air when the houses were being torched.
"We are further investigating the matter. The officials arrived on spot immediately and the fire was brought under control. There has been no injury reported so far in the incident," DM Ashutosh Kumar Burma said.
