Abortion and Philosophy Tube | Is The Discussion Over?

Описание: Philosophy Tube outlined one of the most controversial arguments surrounding the abortion debate and was largely lauded for it. Yet when a video of Sophie Lewis putting forward the same argument went viral just one month prior, she was met with ridicule from detractors, and largely ignored by the online left.

The same argument has, in fact, been put forward repeatedly for the last 50 years. But it has failed to gain any significant traction.

The fact that it hasn’t already become the main argument of pro-choicers - and that Philosophy Tube has been able to really bring this view to the forefront of the abortion discussion - speaks volumes.

We need to look at what’s truly driving the discourse surrounding abortion, and what we can do to change it.
