In the days leading up to the proposal, he started recording little video messages in his car — moments where he talked about his love for Katie, his excitement about the future, and the life he hopes they’ll build together. He even recorded a personalized audio message that we layered into the film so Katie could hear his words woven into the moment he asked her to marry him.

When the day finally arrived in the Great Smoky Mountains, the emotion was real. It was such a sweet proposal — both of them visibly moved by the moment — but they were also an absolute joy to spend time with. There was so much laughter and excitement once the nerves settled.

Katie has one of those personalities that lights up a room. She was smiling the entire time and radiates the kind of warmth and positive energy that makes everyone around her feel it. And Nathan? The definition of a southern gentleman — thoughtful, respectful, and the kind of man you can tell was raised right. His excitement about asking Katie to be his wife was written all over his face.
