A jubilee concert dedicated to Goran Tanevski took place at MKC, celebrating one of the most respected and defining voices of the Macedonian alternative scene. The performance was entirely captured by Darkwave Radomir, ensuring its preservation as a sincere and lasting record of Tanevski’s extensive musical legacy.

Goran Tanevski is a Macedonian singer, composer, and musician, best known as the original and distinctive frontman of the iconic band Mizar. He became part of the group in 1985, during the phase referred to as “Mizar – Second Revelation,” a period that established the band as a cult phenomenon in Macedonian and former Yugoslav alternative music. After a prolonged absence, he returned to Mizar during its Third Revelation in 2006.

Since 2010, Tanevski has pursued a path of solo and collaborative work, refining a personal artistic language shaped by post-punk, darkwave, and gothic rock traditions. His solo release ASCEND (2024), issued by Menart, is the opening installment of the trilogy “Sreken sum duri i bez sebe” and has been met with enthusiastic responses from both critics and audiences.

The concert at MKC stood out as a deeply emotional and historically meaningful event—a contemplative journey through forty years of dark aesthetics, spiritual depth, and alternative sound, delivered with authority, sensitivity, and a powerful stage presence.
